Restaurant Review

When you walk into Morton's, you immediately get the feel of an upscale steakhouse that closely resembles an updated private men's club. Attention to detail was evident immediately as the host replaced the white napkin on the table with a black one to go with our black clothing. Although Morton's has been in this location since 1999, nothing looks tired. It's a perfect special occasion dinner spot. It's a great family place to eat and casual at the same time. It has one of the most delicious yet tender steaks I have ever eaten but very affordable at the same time. Not only does it have the looks, but the food is also incredible. The service is decent, the music is lovely, and the lighting and atmosphere is just outstanding. I give Morton's Steakhouse a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I highly persuade people to eat here, the food and service is worth every penny.

Kids who skip school are tracked by GPS

I personally think that it's a waste of money to buy a GPS for each student, just to make sure they don't skip. But there will always be a way around that. Even though it costs money for students who are skipping school, it would also cost for if they had a GPS and they skipped. If students always skip, then I'm pretty sure a GPS won't stop them one bit, no matter how many times they get in trouble. At the same time, I think they're going too far with this just for the fact that they have an adult coach that calls them three times a week. That's pretty pathetic. They should just leave things like they are, and shouldn't force the student to come because it's not their life. It's the students. But what happens if they don't enter the GPS code for that day because they were too tired, or forgot? Will they get severe consequences? You can't always expect a teen to always remember to do that everyday of the year. The only way I think they will do this, is when they get a fine of $2,000, that's the only time they'll listen. Not because they told them too. So there's really no point. In my eyes, it won't work and it's just an easy way to attempt to make more money.

Restaurant Review

Usually, eating fish made me sick to my stomach and it smells just as bad. But when I went out to eat at "Jumpin' Catfish", it totally gave me a different taste. What's my favorite food there? The cat fish of course. The catfish is fantastic. Family style serving of beans, hushpuppies, and cole slaw is a "treat". If you don't like fried, go somewhere else. Fried is the name of the game. Service was very good, a little slow but they were very busy. Beans, hushpuppies, and slaw was on the table fast, so the wait for main coarse was not bad. I rate this place a 5 out of 10 stars!

Irony In The "New World"

I think it's pretty ironic how the book is pretty much promoting them to have sex. But in the real world, they advertise it, but they don't want people going out everyday and sleeping around with different people. They advertise to stay with that one special person. But in the book, they are persuaded to have sex with anyone, everyone, whenever and wherever they want. The women have a belt that acts as what we call "Birth Control" that they use before sex. They do the exact opposite of things we do as far as sex, drugs, and the birth cycle.

Movie Review

What if Superman was nothing but a drunk who only used his powers for fame and not for the good of others? Well, in the motion picture "Hancock", Will Smith stars as the angry do-gooder whose lifestyle is more smiliar to a rock star than a role model, and who has grown as disillusioned with his once-admiring public as they have of him. This movie is also known as the "Movie Of The Year" and plans to be one of Smiths best movie yet.

Snapshot Of My Life

This picture was most important to me because it changed my life in so many ways. This was one of my most special ones because this was the year I went to State for Track and placed 5th which was really good considering it was my first real year running hurdles. This was life changing for me and it got me to where I am now and I look back to that day and remember that there's a lot more to life and that you can prove yourself to anyone as long as you put everything you have to it and if I can do it, then i'm sure anyone else can do it and make their dreams come true as long as you're more than dedicated. It pushes me to do better at everything, instead of just Track in general. It was a life changing moment and made me realize that not everything is just given to you. You have to work for it.
